Account Manager

The Account Manager / Business Development Representative (BDR) is an account management role that will manage and mine an assigned territory of target accounts in software, technology and integration services to drive the early stage of the sales cycle by booking qualified appointments for the Chief Revenue Officer.  

Success will be earned by farming existing leads, conducting high volume prospecting, and building and developing strong vendor relationships with key decision makers and influencers  (CMOs and/or key executives responsible for field marketing, events, webinars, product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, or market research insights),  who can benefit from WIS’s integrated marketing packages as they implement their respective go-to-market programs and look to drive new high quality sales leads.

This is an inside sales learning and growth position, where success will evolve into a full closer sales role with your own territory that is comprised of customers that you successfully prospected and cultivated, and the Chief Revenue Officer closed. 


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Builds sales pipeline by managing and mining an assigned territory of 150+ companies by identifying and qualifying prospects, successfully booking appointments and providing support in closing sales for the Chief Revenue Officer.
    • Researches prospect companies to learn and understand their business and the potential opportunity for WIS.
    • Conducts high volume daily prospecting (cold calling, email, social media outreach, etc.) to identify decision makers and qualify them for sales opportunities.  
    • Delivers a comprehensive sales pitch to decision makers that articulates WIS’s value proposition based on their needs and results in sales interest. 
    • Maintains the ability to respond to prospect objections.
    • Moves the decision makers through the sales cycle by coordinating and scheduling a sales appointment with the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Documents all sales activity in CRM system (Salesforce) to maintain an accurate lead database and performs monthly and quarterly forecasting tasks.
  • Builds a strong rapport and credibility with all customers to establish trust which will lead to long-term relationships and additional sales opportunities.  This includes timely follow-up with customers as well as maintaining knowledge of customer’s business and future needs.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales quotas related to daily prospecting volume and qualified appointments scheduled.
  • May work collaboratively with the marketing team and other sales team members to create lead generation campaigns to drive lead activity and further cultivate sales pipeline.   
  • Continues to develop self by maintaining a high level of current industry and company service knowledge.
  • May attend industry events and/or participate in sales presentations with Chief Revenue Officer and/or Sales Directors.
  • May perform additional duties and/or sales support activities as requested.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in business, marketing or related discipline along with 1-3 of related BDR experience that may include telemarketing, cold calling, lead generation and/or appointment setting.  
  • Consideration will also be given to candidates who have demonstrated a strong academic track record in college and who participate in extracurricular activities that demonstrate a high aptitude for sales success.
  • General knowledge of integrated marketing programs related to event sponsorship, research report sponsorship, website advertising, webinar sponsorship is a huge plus.  
  • Consistent track record of high activity, personal drive and goal achievement. 
  • Proven experience in building rapport with customers and quickly establishing trusting relationships. 
  • General knowledge of office technology systems including CRM (e.g. Salesforce) preferred. Knowledge of content or event management systems are a bonus

Conference Producer - Dedham, MA or Raleigh, NC

Reporting to our EVP of Events based in Raleigh, the position can be based in Raleigh or in our corporate office in the Greater Boston area. The ideal candidate must have a keen interest in learning, attention to detail and can handle multiple events in various stages of production.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruits and vets speakers to present best practices on selected topics.  Manages communications and relationship with speakers before, during and after events.
  • Develops and builds “world class” conference agendas, working with our internal research team and speakers to develop session copy based on top topics.
  • Organizes, writes and compiles all content elements for an event landing page.  
  • Collaborates with event logistics team and sales team to incorporate vendor and event experience elements into the agenda.
  • Partners with marketing to help support the marketing of sponsorship opportunities as well as to help promote the events.
  • Manages all session elements leading up to the event, including speaker presentations and loading event app content. 
  • Ensures smooth execution of all event content and provides a high level of customer service on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in business, marketing, journalism or related discipline along with 5 years of experience working in content production and/or event management preferable in the IT and/or technology industry on a global scale.  
  • SAP knowledge is a huge bonus.

Junior Staff Accountant

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Manages all aspects of the A/P function, to include:
    • Verifies vendor invoices.
    • Maintains vendor files and documentation.
    • Processes vendor payments.
  • Performs A/R activities for the organization that may include:
    • Reviews transactions for errors and accuracy and makes any needed corrections.
    • Ensures all changes to accounts are accurate and legitimate.
    • Manages customer bills and payment processing and ensures pro-formal invoicing.
    • Responsible for the daily customer collections calls including sending follow-up inquiries.  Responds to incoming calls and questions regarding A/R activities and processes customer requests.
    • Receive and process payments, invoices, and accounting information.  Answers inquiries and escalated customer issues.
    • Produces monthly statements from outstanding A/R.
  • Assists with bi-monthly payroll entries ensuring integrity of information.
  • Provides administrative support related to office facility management.   
  • May participant in supporting general accounting activities for the organization:
    • Assists with asset, liability, revenue and expense related entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
    • Assist with monthly general ledger closing that may include posting journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and verifying and resolving discrepancies.
    • Participates in the annual audit process.
    • Conducts analysis and prepares ad hoc reports, as requested.
  • Handles special projects and other duties as requested.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in accounting, business or related business degree is preferred, plus 1-3 years of related hands on experience supporting an accounting department with A/R, A/P and general accounting duties. 
  • Consideration will be given to recent grads that have a strong academic accounting foundation and have had a directly related internship with experience in A/R and A/P. 
  • Understands the basic principles of GAAP.
  • Basic knowledge of financial software programs a bonus.

Meeting Planner

SAPinsider, is a leading provider of global events for IT and technology professionals using SAP platforms.  We have an immediate need to hire an experienced Meeting Planner who can help take our well-established events to the next level with creative and innovative logistic planning.  This is a full life-cycle event logistic role, where you will be responsible for all event details from venue sourcing, space planning, hotel, food & beverage, budgeting, to on-site execution of a flawless events.

Reporting to our VP of Events, the ideal candidate must have high energy, be a creative out-of-the box thinker and will “sweat the details” to handle multiple global events at once in various stages of planning.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategically plans, coordinates and executes overall logistical details for SAPinsider conferences and events to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Assesses event venue needs and collects and reviews RFPs for event venue/hotel. 
    • Determines space allocation and creates meeting specifications to dictate onsite flow for event.
    • Reviews, updates, and communicates event schedule to relevant team members internally and externally.
    • Is the primary point of contact to plan, coordinate and negotiate all food and beverage needs for the event.  Monitors and revises food and beverage budget, selections, and provides final guarantees to venue by contracted deadline.
    • Coordinates and secures all housing and transportation arrangements including negotiating prices, handing hotel attrition and/or overflow issues, securing security services and temporary workers, etc.
    • Executes on financial plan using cost analysis and historical data to better and more cost effectively execute an event.
  • Is the primary onsite event contact for logistics related to housing, registration, badging delivery, food and beverage, vendor / client needs, onsite programs, etc.
  • Is accountable for all budgeting, payments, bill reconciliation, credit card payments/approvals and financial records for events. 
  • Commands onsite leadership by effectively working with the hotel, attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and onsite staff to successfully operate the event on all levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in business, marketing, hospitality or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of directly related meeting planning experience working in roles requiring event planning, logistics and execution.
  • Experience in contract negotiation for hotel/venues, food & beverage, lodging, etc.
  • Experience working in the B2B Market preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer navigation in Windows and Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to learn and use new systems efficiently.  Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
  • Experience working within an event management system (CVENT) a plus.
  • 30% U.S. and international travel required.

Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Software Developer with a minimum of 5+ years of advanced WordPress development along with PHP experience to join our Technology team.
