Content Marketing Writer

Are you an enthusiastic, digital-savvy, talented communicator with an interest in technology, an eagerness to learn new things, and a desire to grow professionally?

Our SAP publications team is looking for a versatile writer/editor — who can also wear a “marketing hat” — to produce compelling content for our online, print, and mobile editorial channels. As our new Content Marketing Writer, you will be responsible for:

  • Coming up to speed quickly on SAP technology
  • Identifying articles, topics, and themes of interest to our audience
  • Researching and conducting interviews with leading business and IT executives
  • Writing and editing articles, case studies, blogs, abstracts, subject lines, and white papers about SAP technology and the companies that use them
  • Producing podcast and video content to convey technical concepts in an easy-to-digest manner
  • Applying SEO best practices to all content to increase SERP performance
  • Adapting quickly to content requests and suggestions from external stakeholders
  • Fostering positive working relationships with internal and external contacts

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a content marketing/writing role, ideally at a technology-focused firm
  • The ability to quickly absorb and understand technical information
  • Experience using a content management system (CMS) to publish content online
  • Strong background in social media
  • Superior editing skills, with a keen eye for flaws in logic and structure
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
  • BA/BS in Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field

Conference Producer

At WIS, “content is king”.  Our passion and relentless dedication to providing quality content to our customers has led to our reputation for best-in-class conferences and the rave reviews we receive from attendees year after year.  

As a Conference Producer/Conference Manager, your role will be to:

  • Investigate in detail the educational needs of IT professionals in the markets we serve.  To do this, you will conduct telephone interviews, email surveys, and hold face-to-face meetings with our customers.
  • Develop seminar and conference sessions that are jam-packed with specific, valuable deliverables that will help our attendees better leverage the technology they’ve invested in, and plan for the future.
  • Identify the leading experts in the market and recruit those who are qualified to speak at the event. You will vet speakers through a process on written proposals and extensive telephone interviews.
  • Become the internal “subject matter expert” for the events that you produce through extensive customer research, reading related books and periodicals, and following online blogs and communities.
  • Write detailed marketing copy and session abstracts for Web sites and brochures
  • Advise the marketing and sales teams to maximize attendance at events, and the logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Please note: this is a research-based, content development and speaker recruitment position. It is not a meeting or event planning position.

In this role, no two days will be alike, and you will be called upon to manage projects that require flexibility, strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and a “whatever it takes” perspective. Some travel is required.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3+ years of solid experience in any number of roles requiring conference production, content development, research and analysis, product/project management, editorial, journalism or marketing skills.  High tech experience is a plus.
  • Ability to think conceptually and distill complex information into clear, actionable topics and ideas
  • Instinct for spotting emerging trends and issues and understanding their relevance to our customer
  • Proven success delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Polished and effective communication, writing, and presentation skills

Staff Accountant

Our finance team is looking for a Staff Accountant who is a self-motivated, detail oriented, team player capable of taking on various aspects of accounting support as required within the department with increasing responsibility as the company continues to grow.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and prepares accruals as part of monthly G/L closing procedures.
  • Monitors the event teams budgets for the upcoming events
  • Liaises with corporate shared services group on proper coding and adherence to policies related to accounts payable
  • Processes, confirms and tracks with parent company for data entry into the General Ledger and Netsuite
  • Generate invoices for various divisions within the company
  • Generate daily reports for management team, specifically for management of events
  • Handles account analysis and reconciliation
  • Handles cash applications and credit card reconciliations check and wire payments
  • Prepares commission reports for onward processing by Payroll
  • Liaises with Customer Services and Collections on and directly assists customers with payment and billing questions
  • Provides financial analysis support to Senior management on an ad-hoc basis
  • Special projects as assigned
  • A central point is communication between the parent company and Wellesley Information Services

To be considered you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 1-2 years of prior work experience in general accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A strong proficiency in Netsuite
